UX changes

Dear product and support team,
We wanted to create a presentation with gamma. After a break in use for some time, we expected the UX to remain stable and comprehensible.
The very prominent feature “Create a new one”, which is in beta/LAB, unfortunately did not work intuitively for us. The function has started working, but unfortunately no presentation was created in the end. It was not clear whether it was a user problem, whether it was a software issue, or whether and how much time the system still needed. For us, the process seemed complete, but without a presentation.
This took me 30 minutes and my colleagues stopped using Gamma.
Unfortunately, there were significant delays and expenses during our work.
With the button next + Presentation and then click Agent or Chat, we were able to create the slides.
Unfortunately, we lost time in the team as a result, because not all colleagues used this path along the way.
Our perspective:
* Can it be avoided to present experimental and unstable functions less prominently in the UX in the future?
* Are there ways to either keep the user experience more stable for occasional users who want to work productively and intuitively or a kind of “on-boarding feature” if major UX changes are introduced?
We are looking forward to your feedback.
Thank you so much for working on the product.
Greetings

Hey Sebastian Fröhlich, thanks for the super thoughtful writeup (and the screenshot) and sorry you lost ~30 minutes and team trust on this. I’ll pass this along to the team, especially the point about an experimental “New create” flow being too prominent without clear status or outcome.
Quick couple questions so we can make it actionable:
1) When it “finished” but no presentation appeared, did you see any message/spinner/progress state, or did it just stop and leave you on the same screen?
2) Roughly which environment were you in when this happened (desktop web, and which browser like Chrome/Safari/Edge)?

Hey Nik Payne (Gamma design) , Thank you for quick response.
1) for me it just finished like a completed answer, without output or file. I was expecting some page-refresh and having presentation or someting. There was no error message and no status bar.
2) I'm using MS Windows Laptop + Edge my peer was using MacOS and Safari.
Let me know if you need any additonal information like checking Browser-Console etc.
I can also re-try if required.
BR, Sebastian
