Export option to Markdown
Fred Byron
Hi Gamma Team,
First off, I want to thank you for creating such a fantastic tool. I've been using Gamma for several months now, and it’s become an invaluable part of my workflow. I truly appreciate all the effort and thoughtfulness you've put into its development—it’s been a game-changer!
I wanted to suggest a potential feature enhancement that could add even more flexibility to the tool: an option to export presentations or documents in Markdown format, in addition to the existing options for PDF, PowerPoint, and images.
Here’s why I think this would be incredibly useful:
Streamlined Editing: When I need to make significant changes, I often write in Markdown within an IDE like VSCode for efficiency. Being able to export directly to Markdown would allow me to make edits seamlessly and then bring the content back into Gamma without extra steps.
Archiving: Markdown would also be fantastic for archiving presentations in a lightweight, text-based format. It would let me store and retrieve presentations without images or heavy files while keeping the structure intact.
Currently, my workaround involves manually converting the output into Markdown or drafting content externally before importing it into Gamma. While this works, it’s not as streamlined as it could be. Having a native Markdown export option would simplify the process dramatically and make Gamma even more versatile for workflows like mine.
Let me know if this is something your team would consider adding! I’d be happy to provide any additional context or feedback if needed.
Thanks again for all the amazing work—you’ve built something truly special here!
Best

Support for LibreOffice formats as inputs/outputs?

Not everyone is using Microsoft tools, many people prefer Free & Open Source tools. Would be nice not to exclude them. Also FLOSS tools have free (as in beer & speech!) library that would make their integration in your tools very easy!

Export a gamma as a SCORM file for LMS systems
Dana Mitchell
It would be of huge benefit if there was an option to export at a SCORM 1.2 file to be loaded into an LMS. There already seems to be analytics built in, if I could just pop this in our LMS system it would be absolutely amazing. I like making education on this platform but I find it difficult to transpose it to Articulate in a way that preserves the look and feel.

Why SCORM Export?
1. LMS Compatibility: Many users, including myself, use Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle, Rocket LMS, or Blackboard to deliver educational content. SCORM-compliant packages are essential for seamless integration into these systems.
2. Tracking & Reporting: SCORM enables tracking learner progress, completion rates, and quiz scores, which is critical for e-learning and corporate training.
3. Reusability: SCORM packages are reusable across various SCORM-compliant platforms, enhancing the usability of Gamma presentations.
4. Growing Demand in E-learning: With the e-learning industry expanding rapidly, SCORM export functionality would position Gamma as a go-to tool for educators, trainers, and instructional designers.
Proposed Implementation
• Export Option: An “Export as SCORM” button, alongside existing export options like PDF or HTML.
• SCORM Versions: Support for SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 to ensure broad compatibility.
• Customization: The ability to include interactive elements (quizzes, hyperlinks) within the SCORM package.
I firmly believe this feature would expand Gamma’s appeal, particularly in the education and corporate training sectors, making it an indispensable tool for creating LMS-ready content.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. Please let me know if there’s any additional information I can provide or if you’re exploring this feature already. I’d be delighted to assist or beta test the functionality if needed.
