Stay in full-screen presentation mode when I switch back to Gamma from another tab
Laura Kaye Chamberlain
I love presenting in full-screen mode with Spotlight. When I click out using a preview link to share another tab, it's smooth. However, coming back into the Gamma tab, my screenshare has no option but to default back to the 'designer' mode of the presentation. When I'm sharing with an audience this makes it feel like they're seeing behind the scenes.
I would love if there was a setting that kept you in full-screen presentation mode, even if you exited the app (especially from a slide link-out) and came back. Right now my workaround is to use the keyboard shortcuts to switch back into presenting as quickly as possible. But there's no avoiding the transition for now, and I like using Gamma while sharing my screen in presentations otherwise.
Thanks for considering!

Hey Laura Kaye Chamberlain, thanks for reporting!
I agree that this is funky and I'm filing a ticket with our team to look into this — but transparently, we're somewhat limited here due to this being a result of how the browser handles entering and exiting full-screen.
For now, my best recommendation would probably be to switch the click action to "Expand", which opens the link in a lightbox inside of your presentation. I've tested this and you'll remain in full-screen when you close the lightbox!
