Show all slides in the sidebar, as they appear in PPT
Hinksey Labs
It would be extremely helpful to see all the content in the sidebar, just like it appears in PPT, when presenting through Gamma. Due to the lack of this feature, I don't currently share presentations or present through Gamma, as moving between slides while on presenter mode is challenging. Thanks

Hey Hinksey Labs, I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. Could you share a screenshot?

Alison (Design @ Gamma) Hi! When in presentation mode, there is no sidebar or other way to see all the slides and jump between them easily. Not as a guest viewer, and not as the owner of the presentation (to some regard, if I click on presenter mode as the owner then I can see 3-4 slides, but that's not sufficient either). Moreover, even not in presenter mode, when one is a guest who received a link, they can't see a sidebar with all the slides

Hinksey Labs: I'm not quite sure what the screenshot you attached is demonstrating — could you attach a different one or explain a bit further?
It sounds like you have a few expectations:
- As a viewer, you'd like to be able to see the filmstrip while scrolling through the presentation
- As a presenter, you want to be able to see more previews in presenter view and to jump between them
Is there anything I missed?

Alison (Design @ Gamma) Hi Alison, yes, spot on with both your points! Otherwise, for longer presentations, I have to export as a PPT, even though I’d prefer to present through Gamma and take advantage of its interactive features.

For presenter view, you should be able to resize the window and click to jump between cards.
Could help us understand more about your use case and share how it would help your viewers to be able to view the filmstrip?

Alison (Design @ Gamma) On the presentation side, I still believe it would be preferable to have small slide thumbnails visible at the bottom of the screen - even outside of Presenter View. I often keep my notes in a separate Google Doc on a second screen, so having quick click navigation without switching modes would be really helpful. I imagine this could be useful for many other users as well.
As for viewers - honestly, this feels even more important to address. I use Gamma to teach, and when I share slides with students, many struggle to navigate back and forth. Think back to your college days: when you're on slide 15 and want to revisit slide 3 to check something, it’s frustrating not to have an easy way to do that.
Thanks! :)

Hinksey Labs: Interesting, could you share a screenshot or an example of a product that does this? I'm not aware of this functionality in Google Slides or PPT — could definitely be something I just haven't found!
This makes sense, it sounds like you're presenting live and then sending out the links to your students afterwards?
Thanks for the additional detail about your workflow and use case! Super helpful, will pass this along to the team.

Alison (Design @ Gamma) Thanks - hope this gets prioritized!
Yes, I present live and then share the slides afterwards (ideally, I’d just like to send the Gamma link).
I’m attaching a screenshot from a sample PPT - you can see the filmstrip view on the left, which is a fairly standard feature. The key difference with Gamma is that when you share a deck with someone who isn’t the owner (possibly only when they’re not signed in - I haven’t tested that), their viewing experience is different: they don’t see the filmstrip, which makes navigation more difficult.

Hinksey Labs: Sorry, I was referring to the previews on the bottom while presenting! Do you have an example of that for us to check out?
Hinksey Labs
Alison (Design @ Gamma) Unfortunately, I don't, that's a feature I just thought could be an interesting addition. With PPT I usually need to exit presenter view if I want to skip or return more than just a few slides (say you're on slide 50 and want to go back to slide 7 when a student/client is asking a question about earlier content)
