Prevent undo command entered inside AI editor chat from undoing presentation edits

I have a recurring issue where I type or paste something into the AI editor sidebar chat. If I press undo (cmd/ctrl + z) this causes the latest edit in the presentation to be undone, not the text entered inside the editor. What's worse is that the presentation does not jump to the slide where the undo was made. I've lost a lot of work to this in use cases where for example I've come back to a presentation I made days ago, pasted instructions/text I've written externally into the chat, clicked undo, and it undoes something random in the presentation and I have no idea what it was. This issue is compounded by the fact that the redo command does not seem to work reliably so changes get lost permanently.

Oof, yeah that sounds brutal. Thanks for the super clear writeup, I’ll pass this to the team. Quick question so we can make it actionable: when this happens, is your cursor definitely focused in the AI chat input (you can see the text caret there) when you hit cmd/ctrl+z, or does it also happen right after you click into the chat from the canvas? If you can share Mac/Windows + Chrome/Safari and whether redo fails in the same moment, that’d help too.
