Please give new users access to the Classic Generation Experience

I love using Gamma for my presentations, and I regularly recommend it to my clients.
Unfortunately, with the latest rollout, new users no longer seem to get access to the Classic Generation Experience when they choose
“Paste in Text.”
Instead, they are taken directly to “Create with Agent.”
Gamma Support has kindly helped me with a couple of my clients by providing a special link that gives them access to the Classic Generator. I really appreciate that help, but it is not a sustainable solution for me to contact support every time a new client signs up for Gamma based on my recommendation.
I have tested
“Create with Agent”
several times to see whether I could simply adjust my workflow and teach my clients to use that instead. Unfortunately, for the way we create presentations, it is simply not nearly as good or as easy to control as the Classic Generator.The Classic Generator gives us much better control over how existing text is divided into slides and turned into a presentation. This is especially important for my clients, many of whom need a simple and predictable way to create professional presentations without having to learn a more complex AI workflow.
Could you please give new users the same option to access the Classic Generation Experience that existing users have?
Ideally, users could simply choose between
Classic Generation
and Create with Agent
, depending on which workflow suits them best.I would really appreciate it. I love Gamma and want to continue recommending it to my clients — but having reliable access to the Classic Generator is an important part of that.

Hey Hege Linneberg, thanks for the super thoughtful writeup and for sending clients our way. Totally hear you that having to ping support for a special link every time is not scalable, and that Classic is the more predictable “paste text, control the slide splits” workflow for your clients.
I’ll pass this to the team as a clear request: let new users choose between Classic Generation and Create with Agent (especially on “Paste in Text”). Quick question so we can make it actionable: when your clients land in Create with Agent, what’s the biggest dealbreaker vs Classic, is it mainly loss of control over how text gets chunked into slides, or something else (like extra steps, unpredictability, or harder to edit after)?

Thanks for asking — yes, control over how the text is chunked into slides is definitely a big part of it, but I think the bigger issue is the overall workflow.
I usually help my clients prepare and structure the full presentation text before they bring it into Gamma. So when they paste it in, the content, order and messaging are already intentional. What we need Gamma to do at that point is turn that prepared text into a beautiful presentation — not reinterpret or rebuild the content for us.
With Classic, that workflow is very simple and predictable:
prepare the text → paste it in → control how it is divided into slides → generate.
Create with Agent adds another layer between the prepared content and the finished presentation. It feels less predictable, gives us less direct control over the structure, and introduces extra steps that can be confusing — especially for clients who are not very technical.
For me, that simplicity is actually one of Gamma’s biggest strengths. I can teach a client the Classic workflow very quickly, and they feel confident using it on their own afterwards.
So I would say the main dealbreakers are:
• less control over slide structure/chunking
• more unpredictability in how the existing content is interpreted
• extra steps and complexity for less technical users
• it doesn’t fit as well when the content has already been carefully prepared before entering Gamma
I actually like the idea of Create with Agent for people who want Gamma to help them develop the presentation itself. I just think it serves a different use case than Classic.
That’s why having both options would be ideal. 😊
