Would love to use my own theme to assign color to the charts.

Allow changing colors of charts / diagrams

currently they seem to depend only on the main theme colors, which is very limiting and not really the control you want. cant change specific details in a chart (like color)

Title: Request for Enhanced Chart Color Options
CJ Bruce
It would be great to have more options for the chart color scheme here. Either to manually select the colors or even to pick a different source color from the theme to use as the base. How are these options currently generated on the backend?

Visualisations matching themes

It'd be great if visualisations adopted the themes of the deck, I have a custom theme with multiple different colours but the graphs etc are always random.

Edit colours in Charts
Simon Francis
Provide the ability to change the colour of lines and bars in charts without changing a theme. There are many times that I want to highlight a bar, line or segment and can't. I can do this in a funnel or other template, just not a chart. This should ideally be an option in the "Edit Chart Data" section.
I see this as a huge limitation as i need to take it out to PowerPoint to make the final changes. Changing the theme doesn't work as I need more control to how the colours are allocated.
For me, this is the difference between this being a useful tool, and something I use for everything i do. Still loving it overall so keep up the great work.

Thanks Simon Francis can you share a screenshot of the current graph, and what you're doing in PPT? It will help us when we go to design this feature

Coloring Graphs, Charts with Data Included

You should add more colorful options for graphs, pie and bar charts not just fading versions but also like rainbow colors to identify better. Also these illustrations are missing what data they are mentioning because mostly AI skips to mention in report writing mentioning what is illustrated. So it will be wise to display what graph it is representing.
Unreadable Format
Would love to see this feature applied to the theme. I have my own brand colors.
Alison (Design @ Gamma)
Unreadable Format: Good to know! How important is the ability to assign a specific segment to a specific segment of the chart?
I just filed a ticket to add a theme palette to the color palette options, so hopefully this helps a bit!
Alison (Design @ Gamma)
Hey Maddy Westcott!
Fellow designer at Gamma, I worked on the charts feature (:
Couple more questions —
- Do you have a custom theme?
- Have you added accent colors to your theme?
These control a few things, one of them being the chart palettes. If you add a color, we'll generate a few nice looking palettes based on your that primary color.
It sounds like one of the most important functionalities for you here is to assign a specific color specific bar/point/slice etc?

Alison (Design @ Gamma) Hi Alison -- yes I built a custom theme in here! I will def give that a try tomorrow and yes being able to assign
specific
colors is very important! I would love to be able to autogenerate charts WITH those colors close or exactly where I want them :)Alison (Design @ Gamma)
Maddy Westcott: Got it! Candidly, I'm not sure where this would slot into the team's current roadmap but we've logged the feedback and filed a ticket to explore.
I've also filed a ticket to add a theme palette to the color palette options — that will let you use all of your theme colors, but you won't be able to specify (yet).
