More control over padding and margins (increase, decrease)

When using a header/main content layout, it takes too much of the real estate with all the padding and margins. I'd like it to be thin an elegant, and it ends up taking the top 20% of the slide.

Header and footer padding from top and bottom edge
A
Abhishek Singh
I see that Gamma lacks some basic features for corporate presentation. I see that there is no option to adjust header/footer padding from top and bottom edge of the card. Due to excessive space default space between top edge and first heading on a card, that gives relatively less space to put content into. I contacted customer care and they gave me a poor makeshift idea to reduce the content, that's not expected.

Thanks Abhishek

Totally hear you, Abhishek Singh. That default top spacing can really squeeze the usable content area, especially for corporate-style decks. I’ll pass this along to the team.
Quick couple questions so we capture it right:
1) Are you mainly trying to reduce the space above the first heading, or do you also need independent control of header and footer padding on every card?
2) Is this for a specific template/theme, and does it happen on all cards or only certain layouts (like title cards vs content cards)?

Nik Payne (Gamma design) 1) it should be made available card level as well as doc level to fix the space between top edge and first heading in case of header and bottom edge and last content in case of footer. In case there is overflow of card content, then it could auto adjust text size if i have kept the auto adjust ON, unless i manually decrease content 2) i see this issue is on all cards

Nik Payne (Gamma design) you are doing great job addressing all comments and passing on to your development team. But seeing so many upvotes and requests of similar nature since so long time, I am concerned if really your backend team is seriously looking into it and implementing the requests. What is the timeline of bringin in the changes?

Vertical field - edge of border
Hans Wuyts
Vertical field (text/image = 90°) at the border (2 mm from) of each page : eg - properiertyconfidential note It must be litteraly at the border of the page
Hans Wuyts
I think if you make all text (other) blocks rotatable, gamma design possibilities will increase. Though need to keep it simple.

On a position that still looks profi and when printing it does not drop off

Hey Hans Wuyts, thanks for the super specific request, I’ll pass this along to the team. Quick couple questions so we capture it right: is this for export/print (PDF) margins specifically, and do you need the vertical text to sit flush on the page edge (0 mm) or is 2 mm the minimum you’re aiming for?

페이지 여백

페이지에 일괄로 여백을 설정하는 값이 있으면 좋겠습니다.
테마에 기능이 있으면 좋겠네요
표지같은 부분만 제외시키는 옵션도 추가로.

Hey Asker, thanks for the detailed suggestion. A global page margin setting in the theme (with an option to exclude cover-style pages) makes a ton of sense, I’ll pass this to the team.
Quick couple questions so we get it right:
1) When you say margins, do you mean the left/right padding, top/bottom spacing, or both?
2) Are you trying to standardize this across an entire doc, or do you want per-section overrides too (besides the cover exclusion)?

1번 질문에 대한 답변은 둘 다입니다. 이번 질문에 대한 답변은 전체 적용을 기본으로 하되 표지 같은 경우에는 옵션으로 제외할 수 있으면 좋겠습니다.

Asker: Thank you!

Many of us are creating PPT decks that have a footer or sidebar in the theme. Being able to pad each side of a card is a vital feature. If implemented, it must allow applying the padding settings to ALL cards in the Gamma. Please implement this feature!!
