Make it so that images are not so constrained by the layout

Okay, so basically one thing that I would like to do, maybe I'm doing it wrong, is I would like to be able to not have so many constraints on my images . I would just love to be able to zoom more, but sometimes the layout will make it so that I can't do that. Sometimes I want to make damage bigger, but I can't. I even tried editing the image with the AI agent and it did not work. So we can do something similar to what Google Docs or Google Slides do. They let you put the image in front of the text and just let you use it freely in front of the layout and just move it wherever you want and position it whatever you want. As a pro user, if you make that small change, that will really change the way I use it for the best of course.

Hey Joel Chitunda, thanks for the super clear writeup. Totally get the frustration when you’re trying to zoom/resize an image and the layout basically says “nope” and even the AI agent can’t help. I’ll pass this to the team.
Quick question so we can make this actionable: are you mainly looking for true “freeform” images you can drag anywhere (on top of text, like Google Slides), or would it be enough if images could just break out of their container and scale larger within the card/layout?

Nik Payne (Gamma design) Hey Nick, hope you're doing great. To be honest, I was looking forward for more freedom. Especially when I'm using pictures or images and I could simply drag them around. So I was thinking about maybe a selector in which you can choose if you want true freedom or if you want basically the picture to be contained in the layout. Because I totally understand that if you give true freedom, then the picture might break the layout or might be in front of stuff that you don't want to be messing with. And in this specific context, I got you. But the thing is, if it will be possible for me to just select a freedom mode in which I can literally choose if I want it to appear on top of the text, behind the text, whatever I want in the layout, then I think that would be a great addition to the use of the platform.
