Improve AI generator and generate quality
Varun Taneja
I tried to make a ppt using the word document based on a research paper: "Cross Examination of LLMs".
It generated with the topic: "Why Hash Browns"

Allow access to Prompt Editor from the home screen
Sam Thomas
I would like the Prompt Editor to be accessible from the home screen that shows all the prompts I have used and which gammas they are linked to. Editing these prompts, should affect the linked gamma, unless I want it to create a new gamma. This should duplicate the prompt pre-edit and link it to the new gamma.
Also the ability to be able to start writing prompts and have it saved without generating gamma's from it. Sometimes I step away and lose all my work because the session expired - since then I have started writing it elsewhere to tackle this, but its nice to have :)

Hi Sam Thomas, I think it may be hard to get enough detail via written response. Grab some time on my calendar if you want to pitch me

The latest updates are really really terrible
Nicholas Becker
I gave a nice outline for a presentation and this product just started making up charts and number and all kinds of fake bullshit content. Stay on point. The presentations are unusable, and so bad I can fix them

Make this listen to prompts, including layout prompts. What a premium paid time waster
Y P
utter garbage. this thing wastes more time from me telling it what not to do rather than doing the work for me. It keeps making up product nbames and characteristics, totally made up descriptions of our business, unable to move image or change layout (can only delete things that were made), suggest fancy layout blocks that I can't get rid of and force me to redesignt he page over and over again, isn't able to use our images and logos already stored for other presentations, and keeps adding ChatGPT style words like "craft", "delightful", and "bold" even though I have explicitally banned them. The English is always phrased as if I am trying to excite some suburban moms over a "craft" product when these are serious presentations made for distributors and national retailers. ...I am paying for premium. And you want me to upgrade to Pro???

Hi Nicholas Becker, sorry to hear this! Can you share a link or screenshot to an example of the charts and made up content? We're working on improving this.

Add Mind Map Feature for Better Outlining
KaLok Lau
Gamma already provides excellent tools for creating professional PowerPoint slides. To make outlining and idea organization easier, it would be very helpful if Gamma could add a Mind Map feature, similar to GitMind or EdrawMind.
This would allow users to:
• Visualize ideas and structures before turning them into slides
• Organize complex topics in a clear, hierarchical format
• Quickly transition from brainstorming to presentation-building
Having both slide creation and mind mapping in one platform would save time and make it easier to understand and present information effectively.

Thanks KaLok. I shared your feedback w/ the designer in charge of working on our AI generator
Chaemin Ahn (Design @ Gamma)
Hi KaLok Lau! Thank you for sharing your idea!
I have a couple of questions
- You mentioned organizing complex topics—can you share an example of a complex presentation you've created recently?
- How did you manage to organize your thoughts before building the slides? Did you use tools like EdrawMind?

Laughably unhelpful
Alex Weber
Completely skipped 2 of my 3 charts, disjointed and unhelpful content, totally random icons and clip art. This has got to be pre-alpha, right?

Way to Rigid and the AI listening to/following prompts is terrible

I upload a PDF with all the images needed. Give addl instructions to NOT type the text from the images into the cards and just use the image but it ignores it 90% of the time. This program is unusable.
