German hyphenation produces unusable results

Hi team,
I'm a paying Gamma user and I regularly create presentations in German for B2B clients (corporate security industry).
There is a persistent and serious issue with automatic hyphenation in German-language slides. Words are frequently broken at incorrect positions, producing unprofessional results that I cannot present to clients.
When I raise this with the AI agent inside Gamma, it responds that it has no control over hyphenation, as this is handled at a different level. This means there is currently no way for me to fix this within the tool itself.
The problem is costing me significant time because I have to manually review and correct every single slide. For a professional presentation tool, this is not acceptable, especially in a language like German where incorrect hyphenation immediately stands out as unprofessional.
Could you please look into improving the hyphenation algorithm for German? Proper German hyphenation rules are well-documented and widely supported in typesetting systems.
Happy to provide specific examples if that helps.
Thanks,
Jörn

Hey Jörn, thanks for the super clear writeup. Totally get how bad German hyphenation can make a deck look instantly unprofessional, and it’s brutal if you have to QA every slide.
I’ll pass this to the team. If you’re up for it, two quick things that would help us pin it down:
1) A couple example words/sentences where the breaks are wrong (and what the correct break should be)
2) Where you’re seeing it most often (specific theme/font, or only after resizing text boxes / changing layout)
If you can share a screenshot or a link to a doc where it happens, even better, but no worries if that’s sensitive.
