From Community: Request for Default Photo Style Settings in Slack

I would love to have a way to set a style for photos that is aligned to my company so that each time I am not starting from scratch. This could include the basic like setting the default for my images as 16:9 instead of square. I never use square photos. And, yet I always seem to forget to change this until I get a photo, download it and then realize I have to start all over. For more advanced, I could then set all photos to be photo journalistic style, not stock photos etc. Also, I love the zoom in feature. Any way to make this happen if I just double click on the photo which I do all of the time even though I know I need to click on the hamburger 3 dots.

Hey Nik!
Thanks for considering these ideas. This is part of what I love about being a Gambassador. Helping to improve the product.
I would use it company wide as I have a consistent look and feel across all of our presentations. I am using these in videos too and this way we are keeping the same look and feel in the vides too.
You can see what we are doing here: https://www.lynlearning.com/aisafetyvideos
Thanks for being open to the feedback!

Hey Culture Coach, this is super thoughtful and specific, thank you. Totally get how annoying it is to keep redoing image settings and only notice after you’ve already downloaded.
I’ll pass this to the team: default image aspect ratio (like always 16:9), a reusable “photo style” preset (photojournalistic vs stock), and a quicker zoom gesture like double click.
Quick question so we scope it right: would you want these defaults to apply per workspace/brand (company-wide), or per doc/deck you’re working on?
