Default headers and footers (theme, workspace, etc)
Carlo Brayda
i would like to add two png images that can be used intelligently by gamma as our logo always without having to upload a file each time.

Images saved as elements for the design template

The logo design will be saved; unfortunately, additional image elements intended for use in the background cannot be saved and are therefore not available throughout the workspace for other users.

Logo not displayed by default in the template

The logo does not appear automatically when a new gamma is selected; instead, it must be manually activated each time.

Hey Dietmar Winkler, thanks for the clear writeup and screenshot. Totally get the need here. When you say “save additional image elements,” do you mean images placed on the card background (like that small bar) should be reusable across the whole workspace like the logo, and shared for all teammates? Also, are these meant to be fixed in the template (same position on every card) or more like a reusable asset people can drop in anywhere? I’ll pass this along to the team.

Hey Dietmar Winkler, thanks for flagging this. When you say the logo doesn’t show by default, is this happening with a specific template or all templates, and does it reproduce every time you create a new Gamma (also which browser are you on)? If you can share a quick screenshot of where you’re having to “activate” it, I’ll pass it along to the team.

Thank you!

Big one for me! We use the same corporate theme for every slide deck that we create. The logo and the page numbers should show up on every slide deck by default, I miss it fairly often and need to go back to make this setting change.

Adam Vande Ven hey Adam, have you tried using our workspace template feature? Not saying it would solve your problem, but curious if that would solve the problem for you (since it will come with the right headers/footers by default)

Remember footers and headers in the theme

Remember card footers and headers and corner images as part of the theme, so applying the theme puts the company logo on the card corner and the company name in the footer

Edit logo/footer within the custom theme

Instead of having to go to the footer, would be nice to be able to just add a logo to a specific custom theme
Nik Payne (Gamma design)
Great to hear your perspective, Sarah Schariest! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific features or functionalities would you like to see when adding a logo to a custom theme?
- Are there any particular types of logos or file formats you typically use that we should consider supporting?
- How frequently do you anticipate changing the logo within a custom theme?

Nik Payne (Gamma design) 1- I'm a marketing consultant for several companies, so I'm making a theme for each one. In this case, I'd love to be able to just have the logo imported on the theme rather than having to add it in headers/footers every time (And have to remember to do that). And on this 1 theme, I would never change the logo. 2- Wish a png would import transparently but it doesn't for some reason. Would be ideal if it could take a logo and erase any background to adjust it to be transparent. 3- Never for that specific custom theme.

Option to add logo to header/footer
Suraj Ramesh
A feature to add the logo to the header or footer of each slide at the theme level instead of manually adding it in each Gamma would be great.
