Dark Mode for presenter Notes

It would be very convenient to have a dark mode option for the presenter notes window…
When this ‘pop out window’ is loaded on a teleprompter, dark mode will throw lesser light on a presenter’s spectacles and strain the eye lesser too.

Lux Narayan love this idea, and thanks for the super clear context. Dark mode in the presenter notes pop-out totally makes sense for teleprompters and reducing glare.
Quick couple questions so we can pass the right details to the team:
1) Do you want dark mode to follow your system/app theme automatically, or a separate toggle just for the notes window?
2) Any preference on styling, like pure black vs dark gray, and should links/highlights keep their colors or get toned down too?

1) Personally I would prefer a separate toggle because trying to figure out system settings when you have potential app overrides can get complicated. In fact I was trying to see if there is a Gamma default that the pop-out might be following before I went to my own system settings to see if anything there would change the pop out.
2) again personal pref - dark gray always works better for lower eye strain and shadows. Notion’s #191919 is pretty nice, for example. I would think links get toned down too as otherwise the contrast can be stark.
