Cookie Banner for EU Customers - GDPR
Hilary (CX @ Gamma)
We have one now on gamma.app - it's live and active for all users! Tina Arens We don't support putting a cookie banner on your own gamma site yet, but you could use Google Tag Manager as a workaround!

Hilary (CX @ Gamma) The suggested workaround using Google Tag Manager is not automatically GDPR-compliant. According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users must actively consent before cookies are set that are not absolutely necessary (e.g. for marketing or tracking). Google Tag Manager alone does not automatically provide the necessary consent. A cookie banner must clarify which types of cookies are used and offer the option to reject or select their use. Without this consent management, the site does not meet the requirements of the GDPR. Although Google Tag Manager can be used to manage tracking scripts, explicit user consent via a cookie banner is still required before tracking cookies can be set.

Tina Arens: ah, thank you for the clarification!

Hilary (CX @ Gamma) my pleasure. Do you think Gamma will soon be able to offer a GDPR confirm solution for all european customers?
Hilary (CX @ Gamma)
Tina Arens I don't have a specific timeline for when a GDPR confirm solution will be added to our roadmap, but I've passed this feedback onto my team!
