Changing the rules of the game
Edmar Caie
I am so disappointed that what I was once able to do easily with Gamma has changed along with your subscription policy. Where before I could create presentations for my students without thinking about the credits now I have run out of credits after just a couple of presentations. Have you though of helping teachers out (low payrates!!) by offering teacher subscriptions?
Edmar Caie
Hi Nik, it is really variable. Sometimes I am just recycling or adapting material I have already used or sometimes I am creating from scratch. On average, I would say 12 slides work. It is always hard as teachers tend to have multiple subscriptions to cover their needs, If you are freelance that comes out of your pocket. I subscribe to resource sites, Gemini, Genially, and other AI tools as no one tool does everything.

Edmar Caie: Thank you!

Hey Edmar Caie, really appreciate you spelling this out, and yeah I can see how the credit change would feel like a rug pull when you’re just trying to make stuff for students. I’ll pass the request for a teacher/educator subscription to the team.
Quick question so we can make it actionable: what kind of usage would a “teacher plan” need to cover for you (roughly how many presentations per month, and are they usually short or pretty slide-heavy)?
