[Bug] Inline links frequently break subsequent typing/text editing

Example: paste a link, select Link display -> Link, then type regular text afterwards. The typed text will often be inserted incorrectly/wonkily, such as within the link element or appearing left-to-right (LTR) instead of RTL. This buggy behavior has existed for at least a year and is very annoying and often causes me to use a non-Gamma alternative.

1) Firefox + MacOS. Haven't tried on others, will add an update if I get the chance at some point.
2) Nope, not typing in anything other than LTR with a standard qwerty keyboard, and 99% ASCII (not unicode/special characters). I'm not certain whether it only happens with “Link display -> Link” but my guess would be no. It happens maybe 80+% of the time I try to edit text with a link in it. There was one point a few months ago where it seemed like it might have been fixed for some cases, but I'm not certain, and it's definitely continuing to happen significantly often currently.

Oof, yeah that sounds super frustrating. Thanks for the clear repro steps, I’m going to pass this along to the team.
Quick couple details that would really help us pin it down:
1) What browser + OS are you on (and does it happen in others too)?
2) Are you typing in an RTL language when it flips to LTR, and does it only happen after using “Link display -> Link” or also with other link edits (like editing the URL or display text)?
