Allow three levels of font hierarchy in themes

Brian Cameron
I have 3 levels of font/size/style/etc all the time.
Not enough fonts and only two levels can be adjusted.

Set custom text colors for different heading levels
Charlie Lindberg
I'd like to suggest a feature that allows users to define unique text colors for each heading level (H1, H2, H3, etc.) within Gamma's theme editor. For example:
H1: White
H2: Pink
H3: Orange
Currently, Gamma applies a single color across all heading levels, limiting the visual distinction between headings. Allowing custom colors per heading level would greatly enhance content readability, visual appeal, and thematic flexibility.

Thanks Charlie Lindberg. Gonna merge this into a similar post about type hierarchy

Backgrounds and layouts
Mónica DS
I wish in could upload a branded presentation background that's institutional and be able to more elements more freely without having to stick to a specific grid. Also, being able to number slides for carousels would be great.

Mónica DS thanks for the screenshot! We are currently rolling out a new feature called "card headers & footers" that will let you place elements in the card margins if you're a pro user. The V1 will only support theme logo, text and card numbers but we'll be adding direct image upload so you could have multiple logos.
For fonts, I'm not sure we'll add additional hierarchy but I'll merge this post into that one for our own notes

Nik Payne (Gamma design) Awesome, looking forward to it. Thx!

hi Mónica DS can you share a screenshot of what you're trying to achieve? Have you used our PPT -> theme import?
Mónica DS
Nik Payne (Gamma design) Hi, sure...
See circled in green at the left the elements I need to have in all my slides for branding purposes. On the right side, you will see the presenter mode in Gamma app where I had to use a simplfied logo element but looks quite different in size and position, and I cannot add boxes like for headers and footers.
One easy way to find something similar is when you go to Word, Pages or Google Docs, where you're able to set header or footer styles so you have them along the complete document.
Yes, I used the Theme Import tool, but didn't work as expected n the terms I'm sharing above.
Ah, and one more thing... for a specific purpose (not the screenshot) I have two different fonts for the title to highlight some words, and in the themes I can only select a single font for either the Hs and one single font for the body texts.
Hope these details are self-explaining. ;)

More Font Color Control
L
Lukasz Kowalczyk
I would like to see much better control around the color of Fonts used for different heading types. Having only 2 font colors for heading and body is limiting for making visually distinctive presentations. There should be a Title, H1 color H2 Color, H3 Color. The text figures cant all look monotone with a single font color. It just doesnt look professional and refined.
This is really a core business feature for a higher degree of professional branding.
Im on a $20/month plan.
I had go through manually and add-in a Cyan Font from my Theme to visually break up the ideas.
2 font colors is simply not enough for generating professional themes.
Thanks so much

hi Lukasz Kowalczyk thanks for your feedback. Our goal is to strike a balance between control and complexity—and make sure Gamma is super simple. That said, it comes with tradeoffs and it sounds like we might not offer enough control for someone like yourself, so sorry about that
What would help me as a designer if you could include a screenshot of your brand guidelines/type hierachy that we could reference (as a research input) when we explore adding more control down the road
Cheers, Nik
