Allow Templates to Be Organized into Folders
Eric Friese
Currently we have a long list of templates created by multiple teams. It would be great to have the ability to group templates into folders to be better organized.

I'll add I think it's worth having a widely shared template base and template base that only applies to teams. If we had a basic folder structure we could achieve this byh having a "corporate" folder with base templates and then team folders with job specific templates.

For our use case controlling access isn't important with regards to templates. I'm using a naming convention to show which templates apply to my team which isn't optimal. I think cleaner organization and faster finding would be our two main goals. IE, my team is Professional Services so if they can click that folder/grouping and only see our templates that would be better. For what we do a presentation is a deliverable so having consistency is important.

Eric Friese: Super helpful. We're planning to overhaul folders later this year and as part of that work I think we're going to build teamspaces. I've been curious about this idea of associating templates with specific teamspaces.
I would love to pick your brain on this. I'm the design lead on folders/workspaces and I shipped templates, so I have a ton of context. Grab some time if you're intrested!

Totally hear you, a long shared template list gets messy fast. I’ll pass this along to the team. Quick couple questions so we design it right: 1) how would you want folders to work across teams (shared org-wide vs team-only vs personal)? 2) what’s the main outcome you’re after, faster finding, cleaner browsing, or permissioning/ownership?
