Ability change the colors of the icons I am adding

When clicking to add icons, I can´t change the color nor the position (behind a table for instance). Quite blocking depending on the color of the background

I have this issue as well. The "icons with text layout (blank)" smart layout allows us to change the color of the icons, but the "icon" tool under "images" doesn't.
While the workaround works for a few use cases, the "icons with text layout (blank)" only allows for a 4-column layout, and I have slides where up to 9 icons are used.

When adding just an icon, the color cannot be changed. If I am using a dark theme, the icon is forced to be dark. I see it can be changed when using some of the pre set slide types.

Hi Stéphane Roy, thanks for the feedback. Could you give an example of when you'd want an icon behind a table?

Hi Nik Payne (Gamma design), I was trying to build a causal relationship between 2 columns of a table. you could do that by adding a rounded arrow from or an arrow in the background of the table to going from one column to the left. Other option is adding a triangle where you´d adjust shape and size to take the entire column and put that triangle (pointing to the right) in front of the table. see attached

It's not perfect but I was able to make this pretty quickly
